Two Wheels, One Mission: Serving God's Children at the Baja Beach Bash

Off-road legends Cameron Steele and Cobian ambassador Johnny Campbell, along with a small but dedicated team, host an annual ride called the Baja Beach Bash. For over 16 years, this passionate group of dirt bikers has made a lasting impact on the Baja peninsula, raising funds and support for Rancho Santa Marta Orphanage through their adventurous journey.
Riding dirt bikes with a group of 50-60 riders along the beautiful Baja California coast—chasing dust, tacos, and sunsets—is all part of the fun. But this event is more than just an off-road adventure; it’s an opportunity to make a difference and share their love for Baja. As Johnny Campbell puts it, “It’s more than a dirt bike ride; it’s a spiritual battle, and we are here to fight.”
Rancho Santa Marta Orphanage is a Christ-centered home for at-risk and special needs children, youth, and adults. It provides a safe, loving environment where they can grow and thrive. In addition to housing, the orphanage buses in students from all over Baja to attend school each week. Many of these children come from backgrounds of severe neglect and abuse, and without Rancho Santa Marta, they would have no access to education. Cameron Steele has known the orphanage’s founders, Bill and Kay Lawrence, for over 25 years, and has made it his mission to grow support for the orphanage every year.
This year’s Baja Beach Bash raised over $300,000 to help fund the orphanage, with contributions coming from communities far and wide. The goal is to shine a light on Rancho Santa Marta and provide the resources needed to continue its vital work, which focuses on five key pillars of development:
  • Physical: Providing food, shelter, and medical care.
  • Emotional: Offering counseling, nurturing, discipline, and emotional healing.
  • Social: Creating opportunities for positive social interaction.
  • Spiritual: Equipping and modeling a Christian walk to reach others for Christ.
  • Educational: Delivering student-oriented, hands-on education with a focus on life skills.
At Cobian, love is the driving force behind everything we do. Our mission is to love others in a way that transforms the world. We strive to help people experience the love of Jesus through the way we serve and carry ourselves as a company.
We are blessed to be part of the Baja Beach Bash, with our ambassador Johnny Campbell leading the charge. Together, we shared the love of Jesus and shined a light on Rancho Santa Marta Orphanage and helping to provide the funds needed to support its operations.
